Liceo 67th Foundation Anniversary

Hello Jaguars!

This past weekend on Saturday February 26, we were all able to celebrate Liceo’s 67th Foundation Anniversary! This year’s theme being “Liceo Lights the World with Hope.” Despite not being able to celebrate this face to face, the CRS department was able to celebrate this event through Facebook Live! To really make this event feel more personable and to boost morale, every year level was tasked with creating a short video, either relating to the theme or not.

Starting with the first year OT, who presented a heartwarming video, “Puhon Liceo'' and was then followed by the first year PT who also presented a touching video, “Padayon.” Both of the first years' videos really spoke to this year's theme and just reminded all of us to keep on moving forward despite these difficult times. They both did an amazing job showcasing their creativity and hope for face-to-face learning! The next videos shown were the second year OT’s and PT’s. The second year OT showed a romantic cinematography, “Love Story”, starring Kert Busadre and Karen Larino. From the library scenes, to playing outside on Liceo grounds, and to the spark as they touched hands, it was indeed a love story (sanaol)! Which was then followed by the second year PT video, “Tats by Tats,” a Touch by Touch music video starring Paul Najeal. The second year’s personalities were really showcased in their video and was very entertaining, especially with all the dance scenes! And last but not least, was the third year PT video, which was inspired by the Netflix show, “All of Us are Dead.” The winner of the video competition! A big congratulations to all of them and especially those who edited and helped direct the video! The introduction and how it was edited really hooked you in! From the girl with the headphones, to the fake security guard checking for their IDs, and to the scenes with the different couples, you could not help but to laugh!

Also, a big shout out to the people who made this event possible! Starting with our amazing and funny hosts, Carnelian Antolin and Sebastin Absin! Loved their singing surprise at the end! Also, a big thank you to our SBO president, Kirsten Say, our secretary, Lynn Alado, and our vice president, John Concepion, who helped coordinate this whole event. Next, another big thank you to our technical team, Jay Zaportiza, who helped compose all of the pictures for each year that were shown in between videos, and to our videographers, Carlos Pabillore and Aaron Vidal, who made it possible for us to livestream this event! Also, a shout out to the first years who helped decorate and made the background! Thank you Kissy Zaportiza, Ann Baranggan, Joiz Nillas, Christian De Belen, May Gales, Miggy Palarca, and Cherey Canales!

Hopefully, everyone had a blast while watching the livestream! Despite this event being online, it all reminded us that we are all in this together! May we continue to push forward and showcase what it really means to be a CRS Jaguar! #TheFewandTheProud
