General Assembly 2022

As the new academic year has come, the general assembly is one of the most anticipated programs of the department. It brings all the students and staff at the College of Rehabilitation Sciences together. The program started with the opening prayer and was followed by the singing of the national anthem and the Liceo hymn. After which, the introduction of each faculty from the department of Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy started immediately. This year, the CRS family welcomes new members; recent board passers and graduates, Ms. Glee Marie B. Escarda and Mr. Alexis Miguel R. Rivera, PT instructors, and Ms. Marey Fredja Lois S. Aligsao, Ms. Meggie May C. Espina, Mr. Cymonel Vaughman Manlegro, and Ms. Shanelle Haluber, OT instructors.

Before the crowd separated for a short lunch break, the SBO officers prepared a few games to liven the atmosphere. The games played included Bring Me and Guess the Word; in which an anatomical term is written and the guessers must identify it with the help of their section, and many other ice-breaker games. Afterwards, the students watched a live meet that consisted of the new features of the Google Workspace. Despite this school year being in person, many students still have online classes through Liceo’s learning platform; the Google Classroom and its features.

In the afternoon, the students were filled with joy and excitement as the video presentations from the interns and the third years were played as they showcased their creativity and talents. It was then followed by the election of the new officers for the Academic Year 2022-2023. As we enter a new school year, we bid good-bye to the previous officers, but their legacies left in our college will continue as we welcome our new officers in embarking this journey. And the new officers were announced after all the students and staff had casted their votes. The results go as follow; Ms. Carnelian Antolin as the new SBO President, Mr. Derek Densing and Ms. Karen Larino as the OT and PT Vice Presidents, Ms. Ann Corine Baranggan as the Secretary, Ms. Kyle Baughman as the Treasurer, Ms. Joanne Louise Selaras as the new Auditor, Mr. Carlos Raphael Dumaan as the Internal PRO, and Ms. Julia Christy Abonitalla as the External PRO.
