LICEO MEET 2021

Liceo, as an institution, acknowledges that the increase of their student’s sportsmanship is essential for their growth as individuals, as well as their socializing skills. But how does one get to engage in these activities? Liceo provides an annual activity in which students are given the chance to take part in activities that may instill camaraderie and discipline, while enjoying their chosen activity. Liceo’s annual intramural activities encourage healthy competition among participants, in which Liceans are given the chance to showcase their talents in a way that can inspire other students as well. Students may find intramurals as a way to escape from their schedules, it provides a healthy pastime for the whole community to enjoy and indulge themselves in. Whether as a participant or a watcher, one can definitely feel the thrill of cheering on their favorite teams or participating in healthy competitions with other Liceans.

This year’s Liceo Meet was themed, “Beyond Adversity”. The intramurals were started with a prayer that was led by the campus ministry, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the school’s hymn. As the program follows, exciting activities were performed and shown. The program was hosted by chosen Liceans who did a very good job on carrying out the program. The hosts then introduced the intermission numbers by the Grade school Department, Junior Highschool Department, and the Senior High School – Arts and Design Department. The Grade School Department showcased their astounding dance moves as they danced Dynamite by BTS for their intermission number. Furthermore, the Junior High School Department also showcased their dance moves to Shawn Mendez’ There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back, ITZY’s LOCO, Chris Brown’s Turn Up the Music, and BLACKPINK Lisa’s LALISA. As for the Senior High School – Arts and Design Department, they gave us stunning dance moves to Chris Brown’s Take You Down and a heartfelt interpretative dance to Johnoy Danao’ Ikaw at Ako. After the intermission numbers were presented, it was then followed by the welcome message from the Director of Student Affairs, Emmanuel M. Echem. The introduction videos of each department were then presented for us to get to know each department’s gems. It started off by the Preschool and Grade school Department, Junior High School Department, Senior High School - RNP Campus, Senior High School – Main Campus, College of Arts and Science, School of Business, Management and Accountancy, College of Criminal Justice, College of Information Technology, College of Medicine, College of Medical Laboratory Science, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, College of Radiologic Technology, College of Rehabilitation Science, Conservatory of Music, Theater and Dance, and the School of Teacher Education. The presentation of the departments, unveiled the University’s values and embodied this year’s intramural theme. In addition, the School of Business, Management and Accountancy Department with Krenz Banzol Sabanal of the Conservatory of Music, Theater and Dance showcased their talents on dancing presentations. Their performances were delivered beautifully and gracefully and astonished everyone. After the presentation, the most awaited part of the program was introduced, the presentation of this year’s Liceo Meet. This year’s Liceo Meet was prepared well and has the finest activities that everyone will enjoy. The activities were the Music fest, Valorant Tournament, K-pop Dance Cover Contest, Photo caption Contest, Spoken Poetry, Trivia Night, Mobile Legends Tournament, and the Singing Idol. Subsequently, the University president, Dr. Alain Marc P. Golez delivered his message for this year’s Liceo Meet. And to end the Opening Program, it was followed by a presentation of the school’s very own dance company, the Next Moves, to hype everyone who’s watching virtually and made a great job to end the Opening Program.
